Lots of questions come up in the planning process...that's what we are here for.  We've heard it all, but below are some of the ones that we found most helpful.

Why do I need a Designer?

A Designer, can work in conjunction with a Planner or separately.  The Designer's role is to create the aesthetic for your day.  This happens through the selection of linens, florals, rentals, lighting & draping, day-of stationery, candles, etc.  Think of a Wedding Designer the same way you would an interior designer for your home.  We are there to bring your vision to life through design.  If impressing your guests and creating a lifetime experience is important to you...HIRE A DESIGNER!  Because we understand how important the planning process is; we also offer planning services along side our design packages.

What design decisions do you help me make?

With Pinterest hitting the wedding scene, the options for design are now endless.  But how do you take all those ideas you love and mesh them together to make a cohesive look and experience???  It's pretty hard when you don't know where to find any of the items you love so much.

As your personal wedding stylist we assist you with making all those difficult decisions regarding: Florals, Rentals, Chairs, Lighting & Draping, Candles, Day-Of Stationery (Programs, Signage, Place Cards, Menu Cards, etc.), Custom Design Items, etc.  

What other events do you plan?

Events by D. Nicole loves all celebrations in life.  We help our clients plan and design all events such as, baby showers, anniversary parties, birthday parties (adult, teen &children), proposals, engagement parties, etc.  

 

We also really enjoy planning & designing corporate events.  We assist in pulling all the details together for team building lunches, retirement parties, holiday parties, etc.

What's a design board?  How is it different from Pinterest?

A design board is a compilation of photos that represent the style and direction for your event.  We use design boards to help convey the vision we have for your big day.  This board will often consist of color swatches, attire, tablescape inspiration, venue inspiration, cake design, invitation design...the list goes on.  The purpose is to accurately build a visual of what your event design will consist of.  

This differs from Pinterest in that you will have all the photos creating a similar look and feel.  Pinterest is often a collection of various designs and colors that don't necessarily work together.  Pinterest is great for inspiration, but once you work with us, we create a custom board for you.

Do you require clients to work with specific vendors?

We do not require our clients to work with specific vendors.  However, we do strongly recommend the vendors that we've worked with previously.  This allows us to give you peace of mind knowing that all your vendors are familiar with one another and we can speak to their quality of work.  We do require that all of your vendors are legitimate businesses and have prior experience working in the wedding industry.  We review all contracted vendors prior to working with Day-of Coordination clients.
